Archaeology of Europe and the Celtic World
Bettina Arnold is Associate Professor in the Department of Anthropology. Her area of expertise is early Iron Age Europe, but she has participated in archaeological projects ranging from the Middle Bronze Age through the Roman period. She is the director of a long-term, collaborative research project in southwest Germany that combines conventional analysis of burial remains and ancient DNA to reconstruct aspects of social organization.
