  3. UW System Board of Regents Meeting
June 6-7, 2013

Welcome to the 2013 Milwaukee Board of Regents meeting.

“Innovation Works” is a common denominator of many current initiatives at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and will be the theme of the UW System Board of Regents’ annual visit to our campus.

As part of our spotlight on innovation, we will have a special event on Wednesday evening, June 5, to celebrate our first research building at the UWM Innovation Campus in Wauwatosa. It’s noteworthy that our observance of innovation will coincide with Flying Car 2013, formerly known as Milwaukee Innovation Week. The coincidence is just one more way we’ll

demonstrate that UWM is a driver of innovation in Southeastern Wisconsin.

During the Board of Regents meeting, we will showcase the innovative thinking on our campus including the great progress on our Best Place to Work program. Our faculty and staff will provide an update about it along with the latest information about strategic planning and academic planning.

We look forward to sharing the latest about all our innovations when we welcome you in June.

Best,

Michael R. Lovell,
Chancellor
