Conversational speech samples are recorded while a child plays with playdoh.

The current work being conducted in the Stuttering and Fluency Laboratory is the Childhood Stuttering Evaluation Project. The goal of the project is to understand the nature of stuttering in young children, by documenting its episodic occurrence, discover risk factors, and understand how it recovers or develops in different ways. Children who participate in the project will receive a comprehensive speech-language evaluation and consultation with a fluency specialist free of charge, as well as free follow-up evaluations for a period of up to three years.
