Human Movement Sciences
The Master of Science degree in Kinesiology is a multidisciplinary program encompassing five human movement science disciplines:

Biomechanics
Exercise Physiology
Motor Behavior
Sport and Exercise Psychology
Sociology of Physical Activity
UWM's MS Kinesiology Program provides instruction, research, and practical opportunities for students interested in studying the biopsychosocial aspects of human movement.
Program Overview
Each of the five subdisciplines is supported by a research laboratory and at least one graduate faculty member holding a Ph.D. and conducting ongoing research. Seventeen graduate faculty supervise thesis research, advise graduate students, and deliver the graduate curriculum. Among our faculty are award-winning teachers, NIH funded researchers, nationally and internationally recognized clinicians, former Fulbright scholars, and former presidents and current fellows of international and national academic organizations, all of them committed to providing the highest quality educational experience.
At present, the program annually supports ten half-time teaching assistants. In addition, a limited number of research assistantships and/or project assistantships become available on a year-to-year basis as faculty procure research grants and contracts.
