Health Sciences: M.S. BioMedical Sciences
Program Overview
BioMedical Sciences (BMS) offers an M.S., which provides an advanced level of training for medical technologists and other biomedical scientists. In this program, you may choose a selected area of emphasis including: Biomedical Research in chemistry, immunology, microbiology, pharmacology, toxicology and nutrition; Management; and Education. Major emphasis in the program is placed on developing an understanding of the mechanisms of human disease and providing broad-based training in laboratory medicine and biomedical sciences. You will work with esteemed faculty, all of whom hold their Ph.D. The M.S. degree requirements include a thesis based on research, which enhances the student's problem-solving abilities and enables that individual to function more effectively in the clinical laboratory and the biomedical field.
