Human Movement Sciences - Athletic Training Education Program (ATEP)
Faculty
The ATEP faculty consists of 6 full time and 3 part-time licensed athletic trainers. There is also one dual credentialed physical therapist/athletic trainer and one dual credentialed strength and conditioning specialist/athletic trainer who provide services to UWM students and student athletes. The Department of Athletics and the Department of Human Movement Sciences support one graduate assistantship for an athletic trainer in the M.S. Kinesiology program. Each ATEP faculty member is an Approved Clinical Instructor and directly involved in athletic training student clinical education. In addition, all of the full-time athletic trainers also serve as classroom instructors for ATEP courses. Two of the full-time athletic trainers hold Ph.D.'s in kinesiology or a related field. They have strong records of publication and grant funding and active research laboratories.
