This laboratory studies the photo-engineering of tissue repair processes and photo-eradication of bacteria with blue light. Briefly, visible and near infra-red light are used to stimulate tissue repair in experimental animal models and clinical cases of chronic ulcers. Ongoing research also focuses on developing technologies that foster the photo-eradication of Methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA).
