UWM International Population Fall 2008

International Students

  • 986 degree-seeking international students
  • 135 international students enrolled in ESL (English as a Second Language)
  • 34 international exchange students
  • 268 undergraduate & 549 graduate students
  • UWM’s International population is from nearly 90 countries
  • UWM’s College of Letters & Science enrolls more that one third of international students followed closely by the College of Engineering & Applied and the School of Business Administration. 

International Scholars and Employees:

92 visiting scholars and 60 international employees on campus representing 35 countries:(Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, China PR, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, Egypt, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, India, Iran, Israel, Italy, Japan, Jordan, Korea, Kyrgyzstan, Liberia, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, Nigeria, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Romania, South Africa, Spain, Sri Lanka, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, United Kingdom and Uzbekistan).
