Ivan Ascher

Ivan Ascher, Assistant Professor, Political Science, holds a PhD in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley (2007). Before arriving at UWM, he was an assistant professor at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Ascher’s teaching interests include modern political and social theory, and he is currently writing on the continued relevance of Karl Marx and Max Weber for a critique of contemporary capitalism. He is also interested in the crisis of the university in the age of instrumental reason.
