Mercy Corps Operations Director
Jim White comes to Mercy Corps' Portland headquarters after a successful tenure as South Asia Regional Director, where he brought over 10 years experience in directing complex humanitarian relief efforts to Mercy Corps' Southern Asia programs. White has served in many of the world's most difficult and dangerous places, including Kosovo, Chechnya, Central Asia and Afghanistan. In addition to his emergency response experience, White has significant experience in transitioning large program portfolios from a relief to a sustainable development focus. White has managed a broad spectrum of programs sponsored by U.S. and international donors and brings a keen understanding of international relief, security and development issues.
