Consortium
As an organization, WIOC is dedicated to internationalizing educational curricula and professional knowledge through language and area studies. The WIOC centers perform a variety of individual outreach services, particularly for K-12 and college instructors, as well as combining their efforts to support such projects as College Faculty Access Grants for library research in Madison and Milwaukee, and teacher training workshops. It is our hope that this guide will provide teachers and students with valuable resources for the study of international issues and regional area studies. The guide is organized by region and topic, and includes resources related to the areas of expertise of WIOC partner centers, as well as resources dealing with foreign language and global studies in general. This guide is not meant to serve as a comprehensive resource. Each WIOC partner has compiled a list of key web sites, and there are certainly important sites not included in this guide. Our intention is to provide teachers and students with a solid starting point for further study and understanding. We invite you to share this resource guide with your colleagues. We have included contact information for all of the centers represented in the Wisconsin International Outreach Consortium. We look forward to working with you in the future to enhance international education in Wisconsin. Please contact us if you have any questions or if we can assist you in any way.
