Funding Resources

The Center for International Education supports and administers a number of grant and fellowship opportunities designed to strengthen international education in Wisconsin and throughout the United States. This page provides information about some of the funding offered by CIE.

  • CIE Faculty Travel Awards - The Center for International Education provides international travel awards to full-time tenure-track faculty.
  • CIE Course Enhancement Grants - In order to expand international research and learning across UWM and increase the course offerings available to students for a proposed Global Studies Minor, the Center for International Education (CIE) requests proposals to integrate international and global perspectives into regularly taught UWM courses that are required within a school’s/department’s curriculum. Preference will be given to courses offered in the professional schools and/or sciences.  Proposal Deadline: March 2009.
