Become Involved

CIE relies heavily on the active participation of faculty and staff. To become involved, please contact Patrice Petro, CIE Senior Director.

Advisory Committees

Both formal and ad hoc advisory committees provide guidance which assists CIE in developing and administering academic, overseas, outreach, and international student and scholar programs.

Global Studies Colloquia

CIE hosts regular Global Studies Colloquia by UWM faculty on issues pertaining to globalization.

Global Studies and International Studies Teaching

CIE invites faculty to teach courses for the interdisciplinary Global Studies and International Studies programs.  CIE will also cross-list departmental courses and advertise appropriate courses to students.

Global Studies Affiliates

Global Studies invites faculty and staff to become Global Studies Affiliates.  Affilates receive notice of events and opportunities related to Global Studies and CIE, and are listed in the UWM Undergraduate Catalog.  Affiliates may be invited to teach for the Global Studies B.A. degree program, but teaching is not required to affiliate.  If you would like to be added as an Affiliate, please contact Tracy Buss.

Overseas Programs

CIE assists faculty in developing and implementing overseas study, research, and exchange programs.

Scholarly Conferences
