Both formal and ad hoc advisory committees provide guidance which assists CIE in developing and administering academic, overseas, outreach, and international student and scholar programs.

CIE hosts regular
Global Studies Colloquia by
UWM faculty on issues pertaining to globalization.
Global Studies and International Studies Teaching
CIE invites faculty to teach courses for the interdisciplinary Global Studies and International Studies programs. CIE will also cross-list departmental courses and advertise appropriate courses to students.
Global Studies Affiliates
Global Studies invites faculty and staff to become Global Studies Affiliates. Affilates receive notice of events and opportunities related to Global Studies and CIE, and are listed in the UWM Undergraduate Catalog. Affiliates may be invited to teach for the Global Studies B.A. degree program, but teaching is not required to affiliate. If you would like to be added as an Affiliate, please contact Tracy Buss.
Overseas Programs
CIE assists faculty in
developing and implementing overseas study, research, and exchange programs.
Scholarly Conferences
CIE holds
scholarly conferences which highlight
UWM faculty members' research and foster connections with international scholars and practitioners.
Publications
CIE sponsors a variety of
research publications including the New Directions in International Studies book series; the innovative online global studies journal - global-e; the Center's biannual bulletin - Global Currents; and occasional papers. Submissions are welcome.
