Natasha Borges Sugiyama
Bio: Natasha Borges Sugiyama is Assistant Professor of Political Science at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Her research focuses on policy diffusion, social sector reform, gender and development, Brazilian politics, and Latin American politics. Professor Sugiyama's scholarly research has appeared in the several journals, including: Comparative Political Studies, Latin American Research Review, Latin American Politics and Society, and Publius: The Journal of Federalism (forthcoming). Her book manuscript, The Diffusion of Good Government: Social Sector Reforms in Brazil, is under contract with University of Notre Dame Press. She received a Ph.D. in Government from the University of Texas at Austin in 2007, a Masters Degree in Public Affairs from the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs, also at the University of Texas at Austin, and a Bachelors Degree from Oberlin College.
