Oriol Mirosa is an Assistant Professor of Sociology and Global Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He holds a MPhil in Development Studies from the University of Sussex (UK) and a PhD in Sociology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His research interests include globalization, governance, social movements, development, and the environment. Mirosa's recent work has focused on the global governance of water. He recently published an article (co-authored with Leila M. Harris) titled "Human Right to Water: Contemporary Challenges and Contours of a Global Debate" in the journal Antipode.
