Global Studies: Global Security

The Bachelor of Arts in Global Studies/Global Security track examines the changing conceptions and conditions that shape global security, including:
  • the causes and effects of migration, immigration, peace and conflict
  • the international system
  • the environment
  • health and health care
  • ethnicity, culture and national identity
  • policymaking and government, international law, and human rights

Students in this track may choose to focus their studies on conflict management, international relations, sustainable development, or global health, in preparation for careers with private or public sector organizations such as government agencies, NGOs, relief organizations, educational institutions, or foundations.

The Global Studies/Global Security degree is conferred by the College of Letters and Science.
