October 4, 2013
1:00 - 3:00pm
The Assessment Showcase individual winners highlighted during this session include Angel Stoddard, Continuing Education, and her use of e-portfolios to assess how students apply and integrate knowledge and skills in an online capstone course, and Sarah Morgan, Nursing, who assessed whether her large lecture General Education course makes a positive impact on students’ biases relative to race and ethnicity. This course is clearly linked to the overall objective of the Nursing program, which states that “graduates will provide culturally competent nursing care in a variety of settings to diverse populations throughout health and illness.”
