College Connection Reference Sheet

Please note: All pertinent information regarding the UWM College Connection can be found at our website www.collegeconnection.uwm.edu

(If you cannot access this site directly, please go to www.uwm.edu and click on UWM College Connection link under the Admissions heading). Since this is a distance education program utilizing the most current educational technology, access to email and the world wide web is absolutely necessary. Almost all of our program applications/forms and pertinent info on the program can be found using links from our CC website.

Admissions: To apply to your local campus, please use www.apply.wisconsin.edu. To apply to UWM you can use the same website or use the link to Admissions on the CC website. Indicate your appropriate major and that you are part of the College Connection program. For information regarding the status of your transfer credit evaluations, please contact Ms. Darlene Bergman (dbergman@uwm.edu) or at 414-229-2871.
(Note: Credit evaluations take approximately 4-6 weeks from the date you were admitted to UWM to process).

Advising: All CC advisor names, phone numbers and emails are listed by their corresponding campus on the CC website.
(Note: If you are enrolled in the B.S. in Information Resources, your advisor at UWM is Ms.Pa Moua. She can be reached at (moua@sois.uwm.edu) or at 414-229-5027.

Billing/Fees: For fee questions at your local campus, please contact their admissions/registration or billing number. For UWM course fees, please see our link on the CC website. For questions regarding your tuition bill, the UWM Bursars office can be reached at 414-229-4914. For specific questions regarding how course fees are determined, please contact Associate Dean Tom O'Bryan at (obryan@uwm.edu) or at 414-229-5871.

Books: UW-College books are handled through your local UW-College bookstore. Your UWM books are ordered off of our CC website. If you have questions about the specific books for a course, please contact your professor directly. If you have questions about how to order your books, please contact Mr. Jim Klingbiel at (jimk@uwm.edu) or at 414-229-4654.
(Note: If you are an Information Resources major, please contact your professor directly for book information.)

Faculty: All UWM instructor names, emails, phone numbers can be found via the www.uwm.edu website. Please look them up under their appropriate departments website.

Financial Aid: If you are receiving aid from your local campus, contact the financial aid officer at that campus. If you are receiving aid from UWM, please use the CC website and follow the link to financial aid. For specific questions regarding College Connection financial aid at UWM, please contact FINAID@uwm.edu or by calling 414-229-4541. To apply forFinancial Aid use www.fafsa.ed.gov. UWM's school aid code is 003896.

Registration/PAWS: To enroll in courses at your local UW-College campus, please contact their Office of Registration. A link to your local campus can be found on the CC website. To enroll in UWM courses, you MUST contact your UWM advisor to discuss your course options. He/she will enroll you in the UWM courses. It is very important though that you become familiar with your UWM PAWS account which can be accessed under Admissions via www.uwm.edu. Your UWM student ID number and PAWS pin number will be sent to you once you are admitted. Your PAWS account is a "housing" of all your personal information(financial aid, address, grades, tuition,etc.). PAWS stands for Panther Access to Web Services. It is the main source for admission, registration and records at UWM. Also, all current schedules of classes are found under the Registration link via the www.uwm.edu website. For specific courses to enroll in towards your degreee, please contact your appropriate CC advisor early in order not to be closed out of courses.
