Counseling/Psychology/Substance Abuse Services

Life can sometimes get confusing or a little complicated. If you're having difficulties, or just feeling overwhelmed, here are some places to look for help.

Counseling Services at Norris Health Clinic
The Norris Health Center Counseling and Consultation Service provides short-term counseling for UWM students and can assist with a referral to an appropriate off-campus mental health provider.

Alcohol and Other Drug Information and Resources
AODA Resources at the Norris Health Center can help you identify substance-abuse problems in yourself or your friend, and offer guidance in dealing constructively with the problem.

Women’s Resource Center
The WRC enhances awareness and understanding at UWM of the diversity of women's lives and experiences, and the role gender plays in everyone's life.

Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Resource Center

The LGBT Resource center provides a resource for students and community members wanting to learn about and advocate for LGBT issues, and is a safe-space for all LGBT students and their allies at UWM to give and receive social and emotional support.
