Prototype Transit Sensitive Land Use Design

The images below are color versions of a prototype design that was developed to illustrate the principles of transit sensitive land use design. It is for a site on half mile wide and two and a half miles long located parallel to Silver Spring Drive in a growing suburban area west of the City of Milwaukee.

The design was developed to test guidelines for transit senstive land use design developed at UWM. It was assumed that different parcels of land at the site would be developed at different times and by different individuals, but that the transit stop locations would be designated prior to development.
