Welcome to UW-Milwaukee as a new freshman! Now that you've been admitted, your next step is to schedule an appointment for New Freshman Placement Testing. All incoming freshman admitted to UW Milwaukee are required to complete placement tests in math and English. Depending on your course of study you may also be required to take an exam in chemistry and/or foreign language. These tests are designed to place you in the most appropriate college level courses. Testing must be completed before you can register for classes.
If you are admitted to UW-Milwaukee for the fall semester, you will receive information about your testing options beginning in February or soon after your admittance. If you are admitted for the spring semester, testing information will be mailed out in October. New Freshmen must wait until they are admitted and receive their testing information before attempting to schedule their placement tests.
Placement testing is scheduled online. You will need to activate your ePantherID and password at epantherid.uwm.edu before you can register for your placement testing at UW Milwaukee.
