Ruined Ruined is the kind of new play we desperately need  a crackling thriller, with humor, plot twists and lots of humanity. David Cote, NY The Milwaukee premiere of this searing 2009 Pulitzer Prize winner for Drama soars with the triumph of the human spirit. Set in a small mining town in the Democratic Republic of Congo, this powerful play follows Mama Nadi, a shrewd businesswoman in a land torn apart by civil war. Her rain forest bar collects misfits, eccentrics, revolutionaries and mercenaries where customers must check their bullets at the bar and women with nowhere left to go, seek safety and redemption in a brutal world where hope and humanity take root in the most surprising ways.
