Dennis Krausnik - guest actor Beginning the ultimate family feud in western art, Lear pitches his 3 daughters into a competition for his kingdom. From this misguided beginning, the kingdoms descent into chaos mirrors Lears own crumbling into madness with the play's searing and heartbreaking journey through the most complex relationships in our lives: parents and their adult children. With great depth, power and humanity, King Lear asks us to confront the responsibilities of filial love, the consequences of that love thwarted and to find a measure of forgiveness and healing for Lear and his youngest child before the devastating finale of this powerful crowning masterpiece of the worlds greatest dramatist.
