E-mail is the most common electronic record in use at UWM, and almost everyone uses it daily, but did you know that your e-mails can be considered public records? In this seminar, UWM Records Officer Brad Houston will discuss the records management implications of e-mail at UWM, including employees' retention and disposition responsibilities, the role of electronic discovery, and how to identify and preserve e-mails with historical or ongoing administrative value. Some basic tips for organizing your account and keeping your inbox manageable will also be covered.
