Developing Content for D2L Through Text, Images, and Audio

Interested in learning more about creating a course overview or providing your students with a short Voiceover PowerPoint to draw attention to the important parts of the content in your online or blended course? This 2-hour workshop will focus on the pedagogical and technical aspects of developing instructor-authored content online through the use of text, images, and audio. By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Save a Microsoft Word document as a .pdf
  • Save a PowerPoint with notes as a .pdf
  • Upload PDF documents to the D2L Content page
  • Create a Voiceover PowerPoint presentation with iSpring Free
  • Upload an iSpring Free Voiceover PowerPoint presentation to D2L
  • Choose a content delivery method based on need and other considerations

Topics include the basics of uploading content, using D2L email, setting up a simple gradebook, creating quizzes, and using the dropbox to allow students to submit their coursework digitally.

Please note that the iSpring Free solution is for PC users only. If you are interested in learning more about instructor-authored content using Mac products please contact us at the LTC to set up an individual meeting.

Note: Workshops with less than 3 participants may be canceled at the discretion of the presenter. This workshop is intended for those who are, or expect to be, teaching blended or online courses. A basic working knowledge of D2L is assumed.
