The Center for Deployment Psychology University Counseling Center Core Competency (UC4) program: Service Members and Veterans on Campus provides an in-person, full day of training to all clinical personnel (e.g., counselors, psychologists, graduate-level trainees in mental health fields, etc). Non-clinical personnel who interact with students are also encouraged to attend the morning through the large group exercise in the early afternoon (e.g., administrators, student affairs, academic advising, campus safety, etc).

Curriculum includes a multicultural understanding of service members and veterans, campus-specific challenges, deployment cycle stressors, outreach discussion, and an overview of evidence-based treatments of PTSD.
Advanced registration to attend is free, and required. No onsite registration will be available. Lunch will be provided. This is a CE-eligible event. CEUs will be distributed at the end of the day, at no charge, sponsored by the UWM Academic Staff Professional Development Award.
Parking is available at the Union Parking structure for $1.25/hour at 2200 E Kenwood Blvd., Milwaukee, WI 53211.
