This fall, the CIPD book discussion series focuses on researched principles and practical strategies to incorporate assessment, active learning, peer facilitators, teams, and civility in large classes using the well-received book, Engaging Large Classes (Stanley & Porter, 2002). Participants will co-facilitate and explore these chapters in four sessions as they develop or re-affirm their own understanding of how to engage students in large classes. For this final session, please select a disciplinary chapter from the last section: Examples Across the Disciplines and the summary.
Participants who register for a total of two of the four sessions or who volunteer to facilitate a session will receive a free copy of the book. Notify Cheryl Jones, CIPD Program Associate of your commitment by Sept. 6th and she will order your copy.
