Are online transactions safe?
UWM partners with US Bank to keep your customers' personal and payment information safe. on the UWM-side of the ePayment system, we will not ask for or store banking or credit card information. US Bank processes sensitive data such as credit card and bank account numbers. All information is passed securely through HTTPS protocol, using 128-bit encryption. How quickly are payments verified?
Typically, verification of a payment is sent back from US Bank within 60 seconds of a customer submitting their order. During peak internet usage, verifications can take as long as 5-10 minutes.
What are acceptable types of online payment?
You can use credit/debit cards with the Visa or MasterCard logo, or you can pay via check.
Does the system accept foreign payments?
Yes. A recent enhancement to the ePayment system allows for a customer to enter a foreign address into the US Bank online payment portion.
Is there a fee or surcharge involved when a transaction is made?
Surcharges passed on from a customer's bank or credit card company will need to be covered by the client/department. The fee is roughly 2.2% of total money brought in through ePayment transactions via a client/department implementation.
How does the ePayment system recognize my account?
To use the ePayment system the client must supply a legitimate UWM UDDS to provide payment routing. If you do not know your UDDS, please contact your unit business representative.
How long does it take to implement?/How much does it cost?
Because each client differs and the product or service they are offering can be very different, we prefer to give estimates based on your specific requirements. Our friendly and helpful ePayment team would be more than happy to meet with you to discuss implementing ePayment.
How do you access the reporting and statistical tools?
A back-end administrative tool has been developed to allow you and those you designate to manage your ePayment order data. You simply login with your ePanther ID and password.
Will the ePayment system look like and be a part of my current site?
The front-end, which consists of the actual order form and the order completion page, can be placed right inside your current site's layout in most cases. The front-end also includes the US Bank integration site. Upon completing the order form and clicking the 'submit' button, the customer is temporarily directed away from your site to the US Bank site, where all of the customer's payment information is requested. Upon completing the payment information forms and clicking the 'submit' button on the US Bank site, the customer is immediately directed back to your site's personalized order completion (or thank you) page.
