Oral Skills Non-credit Course for International Teaching Assistants

The non-credit course, Oral Skills for ITAs, offers extensive practice in English pronunciation and presentation skills, and the course includes familiarization with academic culture and norms. The class meets weekly for one two-hour session and each participant also meets weekly one-on-one with the instructor for individual practice and feedback on speaking skills.

Time: Fridays, 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm
Location: Curtin Hall 666
Cost: $1,000

Payment in full or written statement of guarantee of payment from the sponsoring department or school is required in advance of the first day of class. E-mail notification of sponsorship can be sent by the sponsor to esl@uwm.edu.

Installment plan payment:

	Complete UWM Credit Agreement form.
	Pay 3 installments:

	1st payment is due 5 days before the first day of class.
	2nd and 3rd payments include a 1.5% charge per month on unpaid balances.

	October 3	$360	2nd installment
	November 7	$355	3rd and final installment
	Total cost on installment plan: $1,015
