Mary has taught English as a Second Language for over five years. She spent two of these years teaching English communication at a university in Shanghai, China. Mary loves teaching ESL because she enjoys helping her students to develop a deeper knowledge of language use through interaction. She also appreciates the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people and learn from them and their cultures. As a PhD student, Mary’s research interests include examining language use in interaction and second language acquisition. Mary loves spending time with her family and friends most of all. Also, when she has free time, she likes to paint and draw, spend time outside, cook, and learn languages.
