The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Employment and Training Institute prepared four sets of maps for the 100 largest metro areas in the U.S. to aid public policy makers in identifying black-white integrated, predominantly white, and predominantly black neighborhoods. For a description of the methodology and definitions used, see Racial Integration in Urban America: A Block Level Analysis of African American and White Housing Patterns, available in HTML or PDF format. The maps are based on block level analysis of 2000 U.S. Census data.
