Personal Use of Software - Policy
Software licensing information for various commonly used software, including for faculty/staff home use, can be found on the UWM-TechStore. Divisional staff are expected to comply with software licensing for all software whether purchased through I&MT's website or elsewhere. Your network administrator must authorize installation of any software on UWM networked PCs. (updated 9/1/06)
Purchase of Desktop PCs and Peripherals
The divisional policy for the purchase of any device requiring attachment to the campus network, or requiring divisional technical support is as follows:
The acquisition of any device requiring any campus network attachment or any technical support from FAA Systems must have the prior approval of FAA Systems. In addition please note that it is up to the ordering department to assure that they have the appropriate funds and funding authority required to purchase and the operate the equipment.
The Vice Chancellor's Office will accquire an epather ID for new employees upon recieving the signed letter of offer.
