| October 29 | Approximate date the Schedule of Classes will appear on PAWS and Online. |
| November 12 | Date that students who are eligible to enroll may access their Enrollment Shopping Cart and Enrollment Appointment time on PAWS. NOTE: All holds must be cleared before students can enroll. See the Enrollment Appointments website for more information. |
| November 19 | Beginning of registration by appointment. PAWS will generally be available for registration from 6:00 am to midnight Monday-Saturday and noon-midnight on Sunday. PLEASE NOTE: PAWS is scheduled to be down for routine maintenance on December 8-9. |
| December 10 | Open enrollment period begins. |
| January 3 | Approximate date that spring tuition assessments will appear on PAWS. |
| January 4 | Last day to register without paying $200 minimum tuition deposit. |
| January 16 | Last day to withdraw from the semester without charge or for full refund. Deadline for students to pay full fees or the minimum $200.00 tuition deposit to remain enrolled in classes. |
| January 17 | Cancellation of registration of students who fail to meet January 16 payment deadline. |
| January 17 | Start of Late Registration - $50.00 late registration fee assessed for students registering for classes for the first time in the term. |
| January 21 | Martin Luther King, Jr. Day - University Closed. |
| January 22 | First day of classes |
| January 25 | Deadline for Spring 2013 undergraduate graduation application submissions via PAWS. |
| February 4 | Last day to add full semester courses or change sections. Last day to change courses from credit/no credit or audit to graded basis or vice versa. |
| February 5 | Deadline for Spring 2013 graduate student graduation application submissions via PAWS. |
| February 18 | Last day to drop full semester courses without W on record. |
| March 15 | Last day to drop or withdraw from full-term courses. |
| March 17-24 | Spring Recess - No Classes (UWM offices are open) |
| May 9 | Last day of classes |
| May 10 | Study day |
| May 11, 13-18 | Final Exam Period |
| May 18 | Last day of the Spring 2013 term. Date of degree conferral for Spring 2013 graduates. |
| May 19 | Graduation ceremony |
| May 21 | Priority deadline for instructor grading in PAWS per faculty policy. More information on instructor grading at grading.uwm.edu. |
| May 28 | Final call deadline for instructor grading (final grade run date). All grades not entered into PAWS by 4:30pm will result in a value of NR, or not reported. After this point, all grade entries need to be submitted as a grade change. |
| May 29 | Approximate date that Academic Standing and Dean's Honors appear for spring. |
