Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)

The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) of 1974, as amended, affords certain rights to students concerning the privacy of, and access to, their education records. UWM provides two primary ways for students to provide third parties (including parents) access to their information: PAWS Designate Access, and Student Consent Release. You must complete the Online Student Consent Release through your PAWS account if you want us to discuss your financial aid with someone else.

For more information and instructions on how to complete, visit the Student Information Release website.
