Student Aid Report (SAR)
Approximately two weeks after filing the electronic FAFSA, the applicant will receive a Student Aid Report (SAR). This report is e-mailed or mailed from the federal processor. Keep this report and review it for accuracy. Corrections can be made online, using a Department of Education PIN number, at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Not all corrections are acceptable. Updates to household size, number in college, and asset information are only allowed if the answer was incorrect at the time of application. Please contact the Financial Aid Office before making any changes to these items.
The Department of Education Processing Center will email a new SAR indicating that corrections have been made to your record.
