FFELP PLUS Qualification

University of Wisconsin Milwaukee Federal PLUS Loan Process

Welcome parents of University of Wisconsin Milwaukee students.

The University of Wisconsin Milwaukee is participating in the Federal Family Education Loan Program (FFELP) and the PLUS loan application is the FFELP PLUS Master Promissory Note (MPN). The parent that applies for this loan may receive multiple FFELP PLUS loans for the student identified on the application over a maximum ten-year period.

There are two steps you will need to take in order to receive a Federal PLUS Loan for your son or daughter at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee.

  • 1. Read carefully the UWM FFELP PLUS Qualification, Summary of Basic Provisions of the Program and Summary of PLUS Process on this webpage.

  • 2. Complete the Online PLUS Preapproval process and Master Promissory Note (MPN).
