Are you in your first year of college and are looking to transfer? Thousands of students transfer to other colleges each year, so you’re not alone – especially at UWM. Did you know that UWM has the largest number of incoming transfer students in the state? Transferring can be a bit overwhelming, but we’re here to make it easy. Before we can admit you, we’ll need a transcript of all your college credits and/or your current courses in progress. What else do you need to complete your application?

Where Will You Live?
You’ll need somewhere to live, whether it’s at on campus, home, or in our neighborhood. There are lots of options for you as you transition here to UWM. Check them all out and see what will work best for you.
You may have already done financial aid paperwork at your current school, but you’ll need to add our school code, 003896, to your FAFSA in order to receive aid at UW-Milwaukee. If you haven't applied for aid yet, it isn't too late to do so. Every institution has unique financial aid opportunities to offer you. Check out scholarships specific to transfer students as well as other financial aid programs.
