- Anne Reis GIS Specialist, Urban Ecology Center will describe her "Adventures in Eco-mapping: Visualizing the Work of Citizen Science". Anne is the GIS specialist at the Urban Ecology Center's Research and Citizen Science Program and a conservation biologist with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, Bureau of Endangered Resources. She's a 2012 graduate of UW-Milwaukee’s Department of Biological Sciences and GIS Certificate program. Since learning GIS in 2004, Anne has mapped lichens, tamarack swamps, birds, bats, snakes, frogs, turtles, mammals, invertebrates, and more.
- Matt Richardson, Founding Member, Milwaukee Data Initiative will talk about "Open Data and GIS: Moving Milwaukee Forward". Matt says "I use technology as a means to improve the management and use of information, which I believe can improve the abundance of opportunity for an organization, a neighborhood or any community."
- Stephen Schmidt, GIS Manager, ELM will talk on "Developing GIS Web and Database Applications for a Local Municipality". Steve has 12 years of GIS, CAD, and database design experience with organizations ranging from the DOD and to a wide variety of commercial and industrial entities. He's also worked extensively with GPS.
