College of Health Sciences

“I love the school, especially the instructors. They are very dedicated to their students.”

                                                                                                                     ---Senior 2010

The College of Health Sciences exists for students who seek to serve people in the health care professions with skill and compassion.  The faculty and staff in the College help students succeed by unlocking each individual student’s potential. Student success is number one for the College of Health Sciences.  For every student serious about a profession in health care, UWM’s College of Health Sciences is the place to be.

To prepare tomorrow’s health care professional today, the College of Health Sciences calls upon its alumni and friends to consider supporting the College. We need help with the following areas:

 Space! Space! Space!

Dean Chukuka Enwemeka says the College’s top three priorities are Space, Space, and Space!  Since 2006, student enrollment in the College of Health Sciences has grown 73%!  Plans are underway to expand the College so that students, faculty and staff have the resources to provide outstanding education, innovative research and exceptional service.  You can help by giving to our expansion fund with a gift now or through your estate.  You might want to consider naming a classroom, clinic, center or lab.  You might be able to name the whole College!  Your gift, in any amount, will help a great deal.

Scholarship dollars go a long way.  Your gift to the College of Health Sciences scholarships can mean the difference between a student staying in school or having to leave.  The College’s scholarships award merit and help meet financial needs.  Every year there are more eligible students than available dollars. But you can change that with a gift to the College’s scholarships. Click on the button above and designate your gift to “scholarships.”

Health care is one of the largest employers in southeastern Wisconsin.  Almost all of our students, upon graduation, are employed by local health care employers.  These employers know the graduates from the College of Health Sciences are motivated and highly productive from day one on the job.  If you are a health care employer or run a health care related company, think about partnering with the College of Health Sciences.  Cutting edge faculty research and highly trained graduates make for an attractive combination for the Health Care Sector in the greater Milwaukee area and beyond.  Please let us know if you would like a tour of the College and meet with the Dean and key faculty in your field.

PS: Sometimes the largest gift you can offer to UWM’s College of Health Sciences is through your estate.  Please consider a gift through your Will or Trust.  Contact Joe Maddalena and he’ll be happy to help.
