University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee

Intercollegiate Athletics
The primary objective of the Department of Athletics at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee is to provide the best possible educational and athletic experience for its student-athletes, while serving to enhance the collegiate experience for the entire student body.  The Athletic Department seeks to maintain a program of high quality, and is committed to growing its national reputation for program excellence.

The Panther Fund raises money to enhance each of our student-athlete’s opportunities to achieve academic and athletic excellence.  Your financial support provides resources for scholarships, facilities and program assistance.

One of the top priorities of the Panther Fund is to increase dollars available for scholarships.  Currently, 250 out of approximately 350 student-athletes receive scholarship assistance at some level, making the total cost of the scholarships close to $2 million.  The Athletic Department’s goal is to provide financial aid for all student-athletes, and to ensure each individual has the opportunity to achieve success on the athletic field, in the classroom, and in their future lives with a college degree.
