Telefund
Each year, more than 30 UWM students work for the Telefund program. Using an automated calling system, the students contact more than 35,000 alumni and friends of the University about annual giving and to give updates.
Alumni typically are contacted on behalf of their respective school or college. The money raised allows the deans to address the most pressing needs while taking advantage of emerging opportunities. In 2007, calling efforts produced more than 5,600 gifts.
The students at the Telefund learn firsthand how their education is impacted by the generous donations of thousands of alumni and friends by interacting with donors on a one-to-one basis. The Telefund represents the progress of UWM as the students of today connect with the students of yesterday to aid the students of tomorrow.
You may be among the thousands of people who are invited to make annual gifts to UWM schools and programs by phone. When our students call, we'll hope you speak with them and consider their request.
