Tina Freiburger is an Associate Professor in the Department of Criminal Justice at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She received her Ph.D. in Criminology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and her M.A. from Sam Houston State University.

Her primary research areas are gender and racial disparities in sentencing, criminological theory, juvenile justice, and disparities in juvenile court processing.

Dr. Freiburger is the graduate coordinator for the Masters of Science in Criminal Justice. She also teaches CJ 295 Crime and Criminal Justice Policy, CJ 662 Methods in Social Welfare Research, CJ 671: Juvenile Justice, and CJ 756: Analysis of Criminal Justice Research.
