Professional Interests
Roberta J. Hanus (M.S.W., University of California-Berkeley) has been a field liaison with the School since 1990. Her responsibilities are in the area of medical social work, health care & older adults, hospice programs and community based programs for the LGBT community.
As a Clinical Associate Professor, Ms. Hanus has taught courses in group work, conflict resolution, death and dying and the relationship of spirituality to social work practice. Ms. Hanus has a private practice with an integrative psychotherapeutic approach known as Process Work, which she has studied for the past 15 years. Her particular skill is in supporting individuals, couples, families and groups to find the underlying meaning and usefulness in their conflicts.
