Hello! I am Kate Masshardt, an academic advisor in the Helen Bader School of Social Welfare. I currently advise all new transfer students A-Z and all other students M-Z. In addition to advising, I work with transfer student recruitment and participate in campus-wide committees.

I have a bachelor's degree from Marquette University in Sociology and Social Welfare and Justice and a Master's degree from Iowa State University in Student Affairs. Prior to starting my advising position at UW-Milwaukee, I held positions in Admissions, Orientation, and Campus Activities. My goal is to work collaboratively with students to understand and plan for their academic, professional, and personal goals through an understanding of degree requirements, university policies, and available practical experiences.
