Bachelor of Science in Social Work

A minimum of 120 credits are required for graduation; 78 credits in liberal arts studies and 42 credits in social work.

In social work courses, students study human behavior, social environment, social work methods, social welfare research and cultural diversity. Fieldwork education begins in the junior year. Students must maintain a B average in both methods and fieldwork courses in order to graduate.

Graduation Requirements

• Minimum of 42 credits in the social work major
• 120 total college credits, including all degree requirements
• Cumulative UWM grade point average or 2.0 or better
• Maintenance of a B average or better in social work methods and field courses.
