September 18th ― Writing Workshop This workshop offered by Lydia Equitz, Honors College Writing Specialist and Senior Lecturer, will focus on what you can expect from your first Honors paper. The workshop will take place from 5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. in Garland Hall, Room 304.
September 29th― AIDS Walk Wisconsin If you are interested in participating in this walk, please contact "Team HCSA" coordinator, Sandra Figueria at: figueira@uwm.edu.
October 26th-27th ― UWM Open House Volunteer at the Honors booth, or simply stop by and check it out.
November 3rd ― UWM Rak-A-Thon Watch for an announcement about participating in this event with other Honors College students.
November 5th - December 5th ― Toy Drive If you are interested in participating in the annual toy drive, please contact Jonathan Marks at: jtmarks@uwm.edu to join the team!
December 12th ― Honors College Holiday Open House Join your fellow Honors students and faculty in the Student Center (Garland 310) for food, drink, and holiday cheer.
In addition, keep these important academic dates and deadlines in mind:
September 17th ― Last day to add full-term classes or change sections on PAWS
October 1st ― Last day to drop full-term courses without having a transcript notation of "W"
October 26th ― Last day to drop full-term courses with a transcript notation of "W"
November 22nd-25th ― Thanksgiving recess
December 12th ― Last day of classes before finals
