Joe Cannon has a Ph.D. in Philosophy from Northwestern University and a B.A. from Notre Dame. He has taught at Northwestern and at the University of Idaho, which is in Moscow, Idaho, where they have outlawed humidity. He teaches extensively in the history of philosophy, aesthetics and ethics. His research focuses primarily on 18th and 19th century German philosophy, especially Immanuel Kant's aesthetics and theory of judgment, but he is also interested in ancient Greek philosophy and its reception in Europe during the modern era.
