Are You Familiar with the UWM Residency Policy?
If you are an incoming freshman for Fall 2013, you should know that all first-time full-time freshmen are required to live in University Housing.
However, some exceptions to this policy exist.
Still, until you make a request to be exempt from the policy, you will receive all the normal Housing contract process communications. To learn more about the exceptions to the Residency Policy, including our new Residency Policy Toolkit, check out www.uwm.edu/housing/residency.
2013-14 Living Learning Communities
Our list of available LLCs for 2012-2013 has been updated! Please visit www.uwm.edu/livinglearning/choices to learn about what communities will be offered in 2013-2014. Living Learning Communities are a great way for residents to connect with other students who have similar interests. Students in LLCs live in the same area of their residence hall, and take a common class that is offered in that residence hall. LLCs work closely with faculty and student leaders to create opportunities to enhance their learning with hands-on activities outside the classroom. You will have an opportunity to select an LLC for 2013-2014 as part of the University Housing Contract Process.
