The UWM Real Estate Foundation recently learned that Cambridge Commons is likely to receive Gold LEED Certification when it opens in Fall 2010, making it the only LEED Gold residence hall in the state of Wisconsin.

Since construction planning began, the team has strived to make Cambridge Commons a sustainable building. Some of the green features of Cambridge include:
  • Two green roofs
  • Roof-top solar panels
  • Energy-star refrigerators in every suite
  • Rainwater collection for landscape irrigation
