State Group Life (Classified, Unclassified, and WRS Eligible LTE Only) This plan provides group term life insurance and coverage is based on your highest WRS calendar year earnings and can provide up to 5 times your annual income and is administered by Minnesota Life. Spouse/Domestic Partner (maximum of $20,000) and Dependent (maximum of $10,000) coverage is available.

Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) The plan protects you against losses resulting from a covered accident. You may select individual or family coverage up to $500,000. The plan also includes Zurich Travel Assist which provides benefits and travel services when you travel 100 miles or more from your residence. Enrollment for this plan is open anytime during employment.

Individual and Family Group Life The plan provides group term life insurance with initial coverage level maximums of $20,000 for yourself, $10,000 for a spouse/domestic partner, and up to $5,000 per child. There is an annual option to increase coverage without evidence of insurability up to a total maximum of $200,000 for yourself, $100,000 for a spouse/domestic partner, and up to $10,000 per child.

UW Employees Inc The plan provides employee-only decreasing term life insurance, with coverage amounts based on your age.

University Insurance Association (UIA) (Unclassified Only) Participation in this decreasing term employee only life insurance plan is mandatory for all eligible Unclassified employees who have a monthly salary of $2,484 or more. Coverage runs from October 1 through September 30 every year.
