University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee

The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee will be providing four outstanding service awards to classified staff, identified through a competitive nomination and review process. The employees will each be presented with a $1,500.00 award.

The Annual Fall Award Ceremony will be held on Tuesday, October 23, 2012.

CRITERIA:Recognition of outstanding contributions above and beyond the call of duty; extraordinary workload over an extended period of time and/or temporarily assuming additional responsibilities.

Direct impact on and benefit to one’s respective department, division and/or the University, in general.

ELIGIBILITY: All permanent UWM classified staff employees. Awardees of the last three years are ineligible.

NOMINATION & SCREENING/SELECTION PROCESS:Anyone from the campus community may nominate individuals.

June 22, 2012 Nominations must be submitted to Deans/Division Heads.

July 13, 2012 Deans/Division Heads screen nominations and submit to the Director of Human Resources the names of their finalists for consideration by selection committee.

July 31, 2012 Advisory Selection Committees meet and submit final recommendation for awards.

All deadlines are by 4:30 p.m. of the date.
